My name is Kat and I am a mum of two gorgeous boys, technically I have three boys at home!
I am from chinese-vietnamese descent (that will explain the endless eating and cooking) but grew up in Sweden and it’s where I call home. 🙂
I have spent half my life in the UK studying and working, did my internship in Madrid, Spain for 6 months as part of my degree in Business. I have never thought that I would move away from London until my German husband sold me the fairy tale dream to move to Zürich, Switzerland the heart of the Alps where we spent three and a half boring years before moving back to his hometown outside Dresden, Germany.
Coming from a family who loves food and used to eat almost all day long, and yes even hot meals like congee or noodles for breakfast, how can I not develop the love for food and cooking! I grew up with a mum who could spend hours in the kitchen to cook us hearty and healthy meals every day, which I now do for my boys except the hours spent… I have recently gone back to work after being a stay at home mum for 4 years. I usually meal plan my week and sometimes when I forget I would make something simple with hidden vegetables as this is the only way to get my kids to eat them! Sigh! My aim is to cook healthy and yummy meals for my boys and hope to inspire other busy mums and working mums.
I am a creature of habit, if I like a particular food or drink I would eat or drink until I get sick of it. Luckily my two boys have taken after their daddy and can’t eat the same meal more than twice. This inspires me to research and come up with my own easy and healthy recipes.
I know that many first time mums including myself once upon a time want the best for their babies but don’t know where to start when they have reached the first stage of weaning. I have always cooked my children’s food from scratch and love doing so. I am a true believer of “what we feed out children determines who they will be one day”. Homemade baby and toddler food is the best thing we mums can offer our children. This is why I have started this blog to share what I love to do.
